Does anyone make an Inspiron 8100 module adapter?

Okay, this sounds a bit ghetto. We are replacing an Inspiron 8100 in our lab with a Latitude D830. The inspiron has a removeable Zip drive module. Because of some of the ancient hardware around here, we still need the Zip drive once in a while. Does anyone make an adapter that would allow me to plug the modular Zip drive from the 8100 into, say, a USB port on the D830? Thanks, Michael

I don't know about the modular bay into USB thing, but it might be easier for you to just get a normal external USB Zip drive that can work on any computer; though such a drive would probably require the use of an external power adapter.

USB Zip drives seem to be plentiful on eBay.

Check eBay for a external USB zip drive. That might be your best bet.

    Good luck.
