I'm upgrading the bios for someone on a vostro 3560 and only .exe files no iso option to burn to disc. I'd rather not do it from Windows 7 environment.

Well, I upgraded the BIOS of my Inspiron 15 7559 using the exe i got from the Dell Website and it worked PERFECTLY. Seamless, no problems. Used exe BIOS update on my old Acer also, it's own of course. Worked great. As long as it's the right file, Go for it.

It was the only option and yes it worked but I'm sure if you ask any tech person the chances of a bad flash in a windows environment is a lot higher. And it basically turns your laptop into a paper weight. For something so important I prefer the slower less risky route.

The ideal scenario is to flash from the bios (even less code to go wrong). That's actually what Dell's newest systems do now. You run the EXE and it reboots into the bios which installs the update(s).
Does dell provide iso file bios upgrade, I only see exe
