    Does e1405/640m support SATA/300 3.0Gbps?

    Ie does it support it at 3 Gbps? I know the 300 drives are backward compatible. The only reason I think this might be useful is when accessing the cache, don't know how much real world difference it would make.

    Well, 3.0Gbps operation is certainly not going to happen. 3.0 drives will (probably) fit, but run at 1.5 speeds.

    Honestly, it does not really matter anyway. No laptop hard drive can (yet) push 1.5 to the limits.
