    Does my PC have blue ray player

    how can I tell if my laptop (XPS M1530) has a blur ray player or just a normal dvd player?

    It should show on the actual drive (in white). Also, you would have paid (A LOT) more money for it.

    Well I bought a laptop and they sent a replacement, I'm just not sure what they changed in the replacement. Sorry, I don't understand when you say it'll show the drive in white?

    The replacement will be of the same specification of the one you had before. Your specs will be on the packing slip that comes with all DELL computers.

    Uhh, look at the drive door. Along with DVD, RW, and compact disc, you should have a Blu-Ray label.

    There's no drive door on the 1530. It's a slot load.

    Go to your start menu
    Click on Control panel
    Click on Device Manager
    Click continue on the boxs that pops up
    Click on DVD/CD-ROM drives
    it should tell you if its a Blu-Ray player

    load a blu-ray disc and see what happens

    i got blu ray on the 1530 and it doesnt show on the outside , you need to check the device manager, it will show somthing like this check this attachment.

    Thats what the Blu-Ray drives are called BD (Blu-Ray Drive) at least thats what I have gathered it stands for.

    Here I don't have a Blu-Ray player
