No. None of Dell computers come with 64-bit OS (except servers or enterpise computers)

Unless it said 64bit in the configuration page when you ordered, it will be the 32bit version.

Pathetic. Oh well I guess I'll just have to upgrade to a 64 bit OS when I need to.

Question. What's the difference between a 43 and 64 bit OS?

This should be a sticky as I'm getting tired of posting it :p...

Windows Vista Ultimate has both a 64Bit and 32Bit version shipped with it at retail (not sure about OEM editions, but I'd imagine that is up to the OEM).

All other versions are either 32bit or 64bit depending on what you were told at the point of sale. The important thing to understand though is that you license Windows Vista irrespective of if it is 32bit or 64bit. If you desire 64bit and only recieved 32bit (as is the case with the i1520) then you have to request 64bit media from MS.
