Congrats Buckeye on the advancement of your stage to boxing!! It prompted me to ask the question though -- I read a few weeks ago in a post that Dell did not work on weekends. Did anyone besides Buckeye have updated information today? Maybe they are working to catch up on orders? I am encouraged by so many new posts where machines have FINALLY shipped!! Now if only we could all feel that joy!!

Bump. I'd also like to know if they work their butts off on Saturdays and Sundays.

This has been asked several times before. If it is not open, you cannot change that. If it is open, fine.

Despite all the problems Dell has had getting notebooks out, you need to be patient. They know there is a problem, you know there is a problem...so lets just hope Dell can get it fixed.

Thanks Greg. I wasn't really complaining about whether or not they were working, just curious -- and wondering if anyone may know!! I appreciate your response and positive outlook though!

yeah, many threads about this. But yes they do. If I can remember, they get more workers and slightly longer hours for the weekend if theres like a massive backorder, or lots of orders that haven't been finished yet.

I would expect dell to work on weekends since they're backordered on orders. That's awesome that your lappy went into testing :)

I also have proof they work on the weekends because my system went into kitting then building and testing today, not at boxing as of yet but I call every hour at minimum :D

well mine has been in testing for 12 hours so I'm hoping it comes out and gets to me but I'm not sure how they're going so fast I'm not sure if it was smart to cancel my first order from 7/31 cuz I'd prolly be typing on it right now

We have either ordered way back in june/july or we have vostros, or were just getting someones system that cancelled when it was almost built, or were ordering systems with parts readily available, or were just luckey...

We dont know for sure, but we dont care, all we know is we hate waiting till monday.
