    Hi people,
I really want to get the Inspiron 1520 however am being pulled away from it because of earlier issues such as grainyness and false headphone jacket.

For all you recent or successful 1520 owners, are there still problems with the 1520?

    Thanks

Not with mine, and my impression has been that the screen problem has disappeared. A lot of people are still reporting interference from the CPU in the headphone jack though, but you could avoid that w/ bluetooth or usb headphones.

There's also some really long delays unless you get Jet Black lids and a WXGA screen.

just got mine today, no grainy screen

headphone jack does make noise if you have one of those cheap $5 earplugs squeezed in there. However it does go away if you got a decent headphone, the cheapest one I have that doesn't make noise is an old sony earplugs I got for $15 at bestbuy

What screen do you have toned42? Is it glossy, matte WXGA+ etc?

Delays shouldn't be problem for me I think. I'm too bothered about the lid and at max I'll be getting WXGA+ - although I'm still undecided about that. On that point, has anyone got a pics they can show me on the difference between WXGA and WXGA+ on a 15" screen?

    Thanks,
