    Does the Philips/Dell ExpressCard travel remote work with windows media player, windows media center etc?

    supposed to work with windows media center but i cant get my remote to work at all.

    works by default on iTunes, WMP, Media Player Classic , those are the only things i've tried so far. (this is on M1330, with vista)

    My guess is the remote emulates keyboard shortcuts.. If you could find that software and remap keys, I'd imagine you can use the remote with about anything.

    my remote is working now, didnt do anything different guess it decided to work now. I dont know of any config software for the remote.

    Yes it works fine out of the box with Media Center, Media Player, and Foobar2000 that I have tested. It doesn't seem to work with VLC though for me.

    The remote works with both Media Direct and Media Center... and it works very well. I still would have liked more buttons, akin to the HP IR remote. It would have been nice to exit out of Media Center altogether or open WMP. Maybe it can do those and I just haven't figured out how.

    Is the dell remote a standard RC6 IR remote? Will it work with non Dell computers, like the Asus M50 series? If it's a standard RC6 it should, as I have already tried a full size MCE remote and that works fine.
