    Hi,

    I was looking at the Vostro 1500 laptop. Does it have a SATA 1.5 or SATA 3.0 drive (more importantly, does the SATA "bus" work at 1.5 or 3.0)?

    They are backward compatible so it does not matter. But i believe it is 1.5

    I am curious on if there is a SATA 3.0 laptop that runs at 3.0.

    It doesnt matter. They equal the same speeds. The drives are 3.0 but the controller is 1.5.
