    Does the studio 17" have a DDR2 or DDR3 ATI HD3650?

    probably DDR3, and it'll be decent for gaming. not a beast, but you should be able to run most games just fine on mid settings.

    It's DDR2. I haven't tried any games except WoW. I can run WoW on high with shadows off and achieve 50-60fps in WoW and BC. About 30-40fps in WotLK.

    I know its DDR2 because I just checked my Studio 17 with GPU-Z. Also know its underclocked to 450/500.

    It's DDR2 : GDDR3 HD3650 are usually in professionals laptops and labeled as FireGL.

    Not to mention Dell generally limits DDR3 to the XPS and Alienware lines...
