    if MD is still in its safe HPA and you deleted your diag partition along with the rest. How do you setup your partitions to use MD? Just the partitions setup

    Please don't double post. I've already answered your question in the format thread, and this topic has been covered several times in many threads.

    If you delete the first partition, you MUST have 2000mb of unpartition partition space located at the end of your HDD. When you repair MD, it will use this 2000mb of space to boot MD.

    If the repair does not work or if you get a splash screen, then you'll need to request the MD reinstallation disc from Dell. Either way you have to have 2000mb of unpartition space in order to use MD once you've deleted your first partition.

    Outside of that, you can have the partitions set up in any way. All that matters is that the 2000mb of unpartition space is located at the end of your HDD.
