    Inspiron 1520
    Well 2 actually, first I cant see the volume bar(in the taskbar) changing as i press the buttons(but i do notice the volume change so thats good) and theres no battery gauge. I cant tell how much battery does my computer have :(

    you mean that little popup that comes up when you change the volume? Install Dell QuickSet.

    Its upgrade to XP, not the other way round ..

    apparently 1520 doesnt support quickset :(

    OK so I got quickset, it works fine except the battery gauge but another person from another forum said to give it a day while it calibrates itself so thats what ill do.
