    Driver CD - Vostro owners

    Guys,

    any of you that have received your machines already, can you confirm that it comes with a drive cd?

    Also if so what os drivers are on there, does it contain all the drivers for both XP and Vista or only what os you ordered with your machine?


    On my order it shows a Vostro 1700 Resource Dvd (drivers and diagnostics)

    Im wondering what it actually contains.

    you can find all the drivers at support.dell.com. So, dont worry too much about the driver CD even if they dont send you one (which is highly unlikely)

    Not all the drivers are up on the dell site though,

    Not all of them are there for vista or xp pro 64bit editions.

    Or wernt when i checked last. :(

    Got mine last night. Got the Drivers CD and Media Direct CD. I have WinXP.

    I have the Vostro 1500. The only cd my laptop came with was the webcam utilities/driver cd. i had to ask them to send me the other cd/dvd's. they also did not include a copy of the vostro users manual.

    Vostro 1500 with XP Pro. Got OS and Apps CD's, but no drivers, Media Direct or Owner's manual. Downloaded manual and requested cd's. Also did not get my earbuds, but my sales rep upgraded them for me without my asking or knowledge. Fine with me.
