I just formated my new e1505 laptop with the dell OS DVD. After XP was done reinstall, i put in the driver cd and i noticed that it dont contain the all the drivers i needor it installs them and windows dont see the drivers are installed
According to the cd, it says the ethernet drivers are loaded, WHEN THEY ANIT!

I did this today also. The driver CD I got was for the 6000 and not the 6400/E1505! No new drivers!
-
Don't bother with the driver CD, seeing as how those are terribly outdated. Log into your account on dell, enter your service tag, and get the drivers from there.

Odd... I mean we pay for something good... and get OUTDATED stuff?
Sigh..
I would call them up and argue for a new cd.. however.. anyone feel like talking to some indian person who is reading a script and not understanding? -
drivers are updated all the time. there is no way that any company could keep refreshing their inventory of driver discs. that's why dell has a website with continuously updated drivers. they make it quite easy for their customers to access them.

True.. but a driver disc that wasnt designed for the E1505..? Thats kinda low.. even for Dell..
Driver CD is useless
