    Driver CD is useless

    I just formated my new e1505 laptop with the dell OS DVD. After XP was done reinstall, i put in the driver cd and i noticed that it dont contain the all the drivers i need :( or it installs them and windows dont see the drivers are installed

    According to the cd, it says the ethernet drivers are loaded, WHEN THEY ANIT!

    I did this today also. The driver CD I got was for the 6000 and not the 6400/E1505! No new drivers!

    Don't bother with the driver CD, seeing as how those are terribly outdated. Log into your account on dell, enter your service tag, and get the drivers from there.

    Odd... I mean we pay for something good... and get OUTDATED stuff?

    Sigh..

    I would call them up and argue for a new cd.. however.. anyone feel like talking to some indian person who is reading a script and not understanding?

    drivers are updated all the time. there is no way that any company could keep refreshing their inventory of driver discs. that's why dell has a website with continuously updated drivers. they make it quite easy for their customers to access them.

    True.. but a driver disc that wasnt designed for the E1505..? Thats kinda low.. even for Dell..
