Hi,
I noticed in video properties that my video card is coming up as an intel 915GM/GMS,910GML Express, although I believe the Inspiron 6000 uses the radeon x300 video card. After Putting in the ResourceCD and letting it check and display my system settings it gave me 2 possible video drivers that could be used for my system, and the intel video driver was ticked, obviously to show me that that was the driver my system is currently using. I extacted the other radeon driver and ran the installation file, only to be hit with the following error: "Setup was unable to find components that can be installed on your current hardware or software configuration. Please make sure you have required hardware or software."
What I want to know is if this driver wasn't supposed to be installed on this system why has the system check told me I can put this driver on, why did DELL take this driver off? and also why am I being told the inspiron 6000 runs a radeon x300?
I have tried the omega drivers, but they do nothing more than add an extra tab to my advanced properties which I cannot use anyway. The video card is still being displayed as the Intel one after I install these.
Any help would be very greatly appreciated.

hi there,
the inspiron 6000 only uses the x300 grphics card if you chose it when you spec'd your machine up, otherwise it uses oboard graphics ie the intel one as specified in your machine.
from the sounds of it this is what your 6000 has. -
basically if you have the compute rwithin 21 days call dell up and return it... You want to make sure you went to the I 6000 D page... for graphics option it will say 64 mb Radeon x300 and 128 mb Radeon x300.... If you didn't get that option you were on the wrong page and ordered the intergrarted graphics card version of the I6000
