I dropped my xps m1530 and its proper damaged cosmetically and it wont boot up, it switches on nothing on lcd screen fan boots up for a couple of seconds then goes off again.

I have no warranty anymore but i dont mind paying for a complete repair through dell but how the hell do i do that????

Also can they fix the cosmetic damage as well, dents in the shell etc

It's not going to be cheap to fix.

Maybe call dell and ask them.

I would try taking it apart and putting it back together (effectively re-seating everything). Hopefully it's just a bad connection. Maybe the ram is not seated properly.
