Hi,
I am having Vista Home Edition on My Dell Inspiron E1505
Hard Disk Size: 80GB
C:\ - 63GB Vista on It
D:\ -10GB Recovery Drive(5GB used for Recovery files, 5GB Free space)
I have gone thru several Threads n info on the net.
Let me explain my intention clearly.
My idea is to club the 5GB free space from D: to C: drive and then split the C: drive into two partitions. first partition for VISTA n second one for XP (Say around 15GB)
Now is it possible to do in the way i think??
if so, will the recovery drive work later??
and what about the Media Direct??
can some one tell me clearly how to accomplish my goal with out losing all the present information n settings on my vista.
Thanq,
Alex

For a free solution to this problem, use gParted http://gparted.sourceforge.net/ Which is a livecd which you boot into, and this will safely resize your partitions without destroying the data. I used this with my PC and my e1505. It is very useful! Otherwise, you could also use PartitionMagic, which does the partitioninig on a reboot.
