Hey guys! I know I haven't been active for a long time and I am sorry about that  . I was wondering if anyone in the forum has done dual-boot set up for their Dell because I recently got my laptop replaced and I realized during the time that I didn't have my laptop, when I had to use a computer from my school (specifically a Lenovo R61), that I was much more "efficient" in XP than I am in Vista. So I was wondering if someone who has done a dual-boot set up could guide me specifically on how to do it. I have searched for a couple of days now and have had to restore vista two times in the past week, (so basically I've given it a try, but can't figure out how to do it) PRE-ThAnX for all help received!! :)

Well, first you back up all your stuff, of course. ;)

So do that right now, before you go any further.

Have you tried searching the forums? I haven't had any experience dual-booting Vista and XP, but for Ubuntu you create a new partition for the OS you want to add, and install to that partition. But I'm not sure how boot selection goes....with Ubuntu it's the GRUB boot manager that's built into Ubuntu. I guess Windows probably gives you the same option....

.....really, you need to find someone who knows this, as you probably knew everything I said.
