I have a M1710 I would realy like to get the internal verizon wireless card for it but I also want the wifi card. I just want to confirm that this machine can not carry two internal wireless cards. It seems like it might from the configurator on Dell's site.

Also does any one know what machines can run dual wireless cards, I'm sort of in the market for a second laptop. It could be a desciding factor.

Is the cellular card a Mini PCIe? The XPS 1710 probably has two: one for wifi, the other for bluetooth.

It only has one internal slot for wireless cards. The bluetooth is connected via an internal USB port.

The Verizon card is an Express Card. It can be used without losing the wireless card. It plugs into the Express card slot on the exterior of the computer. Similar to the old PCMCIA cards.
