    I have recieved my Vostro 1400 tody and have been trying to configure it as i would like.

    I have read through all the drama with mediadirect and partitions; mediadirect sounds nice in theory but sounds like a pain when setting up your HDD.

    This is what I would like ;

    Mediadirect working, Vista and Windows 2003 Server OS's installed, and Acronis Disk Director and OS Selector installed and working, also with a hidden partition containing a True Image partition of Vista). Any ideas on how to proceed ?

    Going through all the posts, it seems like a not-so-easy task.

    I would settle for Windows Vista and Windows 2k3 installed, this I guess is easier, just wipe the HDD clean and install the OS's, but what can I do to ensure that the Mediadirect button doesn't 'brick' my Vostro if accidently pressed?
