I got an E1505 and I'm pretty sure it's got a. Intel Centrino Duo processor with it.

But...I only got the Intel Centrino sticker?

It's petty, but just wondering if this was just a mistake or they shot me out of a core duo processor.

Go to Start->Control Panel->System, and look at the bottom in General, it should say what processor you have.

I also only have the Centrino Sticker but I have a Core Duo. I bought my laptop in the spring of this year before Dual Cores were really common...but yeah make sure you have a dual core. Right click on my computer>properties and it should show you.

A T2400 is a core duo processor, so looks like you're just fine!

    No problem.

But, unless you're a hardcore gamer or do massive video editing, Core 2 Duo is not all that different from your core duo. If you really wanna upgrade, I suggest waiting for Santa Rosa in 2007.

As spartanpredator said; it's not really worth it to upgrade, but the possibility is there. All you'll need is a screwdriver, thermal paste, some solvent, a C2D chip, the latest BIOS revision and a heck of a lot of guts!!

    Key word would be 'guts'.
