    Dummy Expresscard reinsertion?

    I pressed the little spring loaded button that releases the plastic dummy expresscard. Now I do not know how to reinsert and lock it into position.Can anyone help please? [​IMG]

    pull it out then push the release button until it locks and then reinsert it

    Pull out the dummy card and put it aside. Push the button ALL THE WAY IN with your pinky, it will click back in place. Then reinsert the dummy. BTW, this had me stumped for a couple of minutes when I first got my laptop too!

    Don't beat yourself up over it. I went through the same ordeal. I'm willing to bet most of us have done it.

    Yeah, it does kinda look broken when it's sticking out like that. I thought the same thing, it was like "Damn, I've had this thing for 2 minutes and I've already busted part of it!" I was almost thinking of just breaking it off 'cause it just looked stupid sticking out like that! :p

    I go through it every time I buy a notebook. I never use it, and never remember how to reset it.
