    i don't know why but every dvd i burn got erros now...
    i changed the media but there are erros all the time.
    i have dell 1520 with TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS-L632H ATA Device

    yes correct you need to flash the bios of the dvd drive itself its a serious process do not mess it up.

    Also DVD+R media works great.
