Simple question. The '' key on my keyboard requires me to press it twice to make it work? Pressing it harder or from different angles does not make a difference, it has to be pressed twice quickly. This is the weidest thing I have come across. anybody got any suggestions?

There is a program that you can get off of the Microsoft website that allows you to change your keyboard settings.

    http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/tools/msklc.mspx

I am not sure if it will help out in your case though with the need to hit a key twice.

Plug in an external keyboard, and if it doesn't do the same thing get a replacement keyboard. If it does, you need to find some setting that makes it do that.

Try the above-mentioned suggestions. If any of those don't work, call Dell support. If they aren't able to help you, they will most likely ship you another keyboard. Replacing it is actually pretty simple.

You shouldn't have to press it twice. It could just be something simple like a piece of dirt or something that could easily get jammed. I would buy a bottle of Air compressor (can get at walmart, or any computer/electronics store) and try cleaning it out.

If you still have problems, call Dell Tech Support and request a new keyboard. They don't give you much hassle, and you'll get the new keyboard with instructions and screwdriver within 2 Business Days (usually).
