I would consider that a good buy. You could try looking on eBay for a cheaper deal. The only thing with eBay is it is not as customizable, it's whatever the person is selling.

For a bright and sharp screen, TruLife is the way to go for Dell's. But if you don't like tiny font, WXGA+ could be too small for you. If I'm not mistaken there is a regular WXGA screen on the e1405 that comes with TruLife.

But really you need to try the two resolutions out for yourself. My mom bought an e1505 and thought WSXGA+ would be great, but turned it down to WXGA+, and eventually down to WXGA, lol.

Thanks for your input .. my screen options were ..
XGA or WXGA+ Ultra Sharp with TrueLife .. for someone using an old Inspiron 5100 with max resolution at 1024 x 768, will I be happy with the WXGA+ .. if I go with just the XGA will it be bright and crisp .. better than what I'm using ?? Thanks for any advice .. best thing to do would be to go to local mall Dell kiosk, but since it's the busiest day of the shopping year tomorrow .. don't want to venture out, and don't want to LOSE THIS DEAL .. not sure when it might expire or become unavailable .. HELP .. CW

Well think of it in numbers. Your current resolution is XGA, 1024 x 768. WXGA will just be wider: 1280 x 800 (768, interchangable). WXGA+ is 1440 x 900. Things will be a little smaller but at the same time you have more desktop space, which I love. I personally prefer WXGA+ on a 14" laptop.

Dell's TruLife not only makes it brighter and more crisp but improves the viewing angles. I would suggest you go with the WXGA+ with TruLife and if you don't like it, exchange it for WXGA. Chances are the newer LCD will be better than your old, regardless. Hope I helped :).
