    nope, i have seen the E1405 keyboard and it has many little holes in it for venting, definately not a keyboard you want to dump coffee on LOL...

    I wouldn't want to spill coffee on this thing. I'd have to say they are not spill proof like there higher end Latitude counterparts.

    really? cuz i bought it from the home site (although they do offer inspirons in the biz section), but it's not a latitude. aren't the latitudes the biz line? not the inspirons?

    The 6400 is a biz machine while the e1505 isn't. In the past I can't remember if there was anything to denote the different between a 6000 ordered threw the dell biz and a 6000 ordered from Dell home.

    6400=E1505.
    You will see the machine described as 6400/E1505 on both the receipt and support.dell.com.

    I didn't even realize there was such a thing as a "spillproof" notebook. News to me. I can't imagine a cup of coffee going directly into the keyboard of any notebook and not having it negatively affect the machine in some way. Interesting.

    There is also a ''waterproof'' laptop from Panasonic.

    Hello,

    I would keep the E1505 far away from liquids, it has two big venting openings right next to the keyboard and those are definitely not spillproof. The same is valid for tiny metal bits.
