Hello everyone,
I had to order the XP Media Center Edition CD's for my family's Dell desktop computer at home which is in desperate need of a re-format...
My question is though, is it possible to use the same XP Media Center CD's that I receive from Dell to re-format my E1405/640M which has XP Home to XP Media Center?
If so, is it worth it? Is XP Media Center that much better? I am pretty happy with XP Home right now, and I didn't perform a format when I first received my computer over a year ago, and everything is running well...
Please advise,
Thanks!

No. You cannot use the same Windows license twice. You can certainly try, but if you have problems doing that we cannot/will not help you.
FYI, but MCE only has one extra thing that is worth it...Media Center. Even then, it is only useful if you have a TV tuner. MC can play music and show pictures, but so can XP Home. And if you are running XP Home, there are other programs (many come in the box with TV tuners) that provide the same functionality as MCE.
Personally, I'd skip in at keep Home. -
Ok, that's what I presumed, but I wasn't positive,
Thanks for your help and prompt response Greg!
