Is there just a cable for a auto charger for the E1405. I don't want to buy an inverter, and I would think that there would just be a cable that I could use to charge it in the car. If anyone does of any, especially if it is on dell's site so I can order it at the same time as my laptop, please post a link. But if there is none on Dell's site, any compatable charger will do.

There just should be an adapter that you can plug in your lighter spot in the car that will give you a 110 plug. That is all you should need I believe...I had one of those without an inverter when I was installing business internet...so I needed to charge the laptop in the car.

Does it come with the laptop? I didn't think so, but if it does please tell me. If it doesn't, what does one of those plugs cost, and can you get it on dell's site?

So there is no plain cable to charge the laptop in the car, you have to get an inverter?

I don't think so...there are ones with the inverter built in that are smaller, but those are more expensive.

OK, thanks. I am on a very tight budget and was trying to see if there was a cheaper alternative.

So, with the universal car adapters that have multiple tips, what is the size of the tip for the E1405? I think I will get one of those

Edit: woops, sorry for double posting
