I've looked on Dell's website (nothing) and on eBay (80whr != 85whr) for the expanded battery for the Inspirion E1405/M640 notebook line. Does anybody know where to pick up a new battery for this notebook, or did Dell completely screw over the consumer?

There aren't many auctions for the 85 whr battery on eBay. My guess is that the only ones that have been on there are from people who purchased it as an additional battery with their E1405.

I don't know why Dell has yet to make the 85 whr battery for the E1405 available to purchase (seperately) on it's website; however, AFAIK, the 80 whr will work with the E1405 (since they are being posted on eBay & none of the sellers have had any negative feedbacks regarding compatibility).
