    E1405 Would not power up

    I tried searching but can't find any thread. Or maybe I didn't search enough? :D My E1405 would not power up. No indicator even it's plug on AC.
    AC supply checked OK. Fried (on board) power supply or fried mother board? DIY?

    Reseat the RAM. That's about all you can do. Otherwise it's probably a mobo problem, in which case you can just throw it away and buy a new computer.

    I wonder if it has any of those $10 screws inside it -- the ones you need for a second hard drive in the 17" models.

    Lithus, I'm sorry but did you say reseat the RAM? Take the RAM out and put it back? I will try that when I get home today. And if still doesn't work then I will throw it away and get a new laptop :D
