So I have a Dell XPS M140 and the blue lights for the Media Direct buttons are much brighter than those on my Inspiron E1405...

Is there anyway to replace the blue lights on the E1405 to make them brighter like on my M140?

Those LEDs are soldered onto a board that cannot be swapped between the two notebooks (most likely). You could switch the LEDs, but you have no idea of they could be considered interchangeable (resistances or other parts might be different enough to harm both computers!).

Why is a single LED worth that much to you?

    I'd leave it alone.
