is the e1405 with the core duo intel centrino technology? cause the intel wireless card I would get with it works well with that? At least thats what i understood from the description of the upgrade on the dell site. going from the Dell Wireless 1390 Mini Card to the IntelĀ® PRO/Wireless 3945 Mini Card. 23 bucks

I'm not sure that i understand your question. Was it a question?
Anyway, centrino duo is just a core duo processor with an intel wireless card. If you get the Dell wireless card, your computer will have a Core Duo sticker on it. If you get the intel wireless card, your computer will have a centrino duo sticker on it. -

As stated in the previous post...Centrino Duo Technology is the mix of a dual core processor and the Intel wireless card. Personally I have heard about problems with the Dell cards, so I would get the upgrade and not have to deal with more trouble.
Just my $.02 -
yeah ive been hearing the intel is more reliable and better on battery

Yes, but the battery life is just a couple of minutes, I think 10-15 at max. Granted that is still more battery. The reliability is the main thing, so like I said...go with the Intel.
E1405 core duo = intel centrino technology?
