boot up shouldnt take very long on a properly configured system with a clean install, Dell systems, and most other home oriented systems come bloated with useless crap and trial software installed, the best course is a reformat, and boot up should be quick and easy, that system should be just fine

Funny, the Dell rep I talked to at the local kiosk didn't even know the term "light leakage"... but yeah... I have some on mine, but I'm not too bothered by it. I mean, the only time I'm gonna stare at the screen is when I'm using it and not when it is idle, so I won't notice anything anyways.

Since we spent so much energy on this, why don't you write a review for it when you get it? There aren't many in the review section... :D

Ok well I ordered a laptop from the outlet and it was a cert. refurbished and I thought it was going to come all scratched up and dented and I was going to have to yell at Dell again (knock on wood). I went to the UPS sort factory yesterday night because they left a note on my door. About after an hour wait, the driver came back and I got my girlfriend laptop. She opened it up when I got home and fell in love with it. Works perfect. No dents. Looks 100% brand new. I am glad I had a good experience in the outlet. However I still like my E1505 better :)

glad things worked out, I have yet to have a bad experience with the outlet, its faster, cheaper, and same level of consumer protection than straight through dells site. My scratch and dent looked 100% brand new, it took me half an hour to find a tiny hairline scratch, that never would have found if I wasnt looking for it

Congrats! Yeah I just wish that Dell would tell us where and how badly the scratches & dents are.

Thats the thing! If they told us they would never sell the bad ones compared to the almost new ones. Its just luck really.
