If I were to use the gamebridge tv tuner, would the current and next-gen console be too much for default video card?

I am deciding which to buy between the e1405 and e1505.

e1405 is stated to have a better ram option as claim by dell. Is that true? If I were to use this laptop for multimedia intensive, would the small screen be a bad choice? There are two things that make me want the e1405 over the e1505, that is: 8 hour battery life and portability.

The e1505 is probably more ideal for me as bigger screen usually be more suited for what I am about to do with it. I am going to use the laptop as a c++ coding (creating video game), photoshop, flash,, html coding, robotic coding, playing console game via tv tuner, music creation (not likely), and the usual (internet, word, etc)

I don't know which to get but the tv tuner may decide for me. 14" seen more ideal for portability as I want to be more productive and I have no room to carry the e1505 with me all the time. Thanks for your input.

for coding and rest that you listed 15.4" screen with high res 1680x-1050 should be better solution for optimal work. RAM difference? are you joking... it is the size that matters, as long as it is DDR2.

I wouldn't get E1405 because of integrated graphics, but that is just me. Seems that you are power user and that integrated graphics might be a problem in both short and long term.

what better ram option? afaik they both support up to 2gigs of ddr667, the m1210 can support 4, the video card wouldnt really matter for the tuner, though I hear that consoles have a significant lag via the tuners, making play very unpleasant

If you order the E1505...do yourself a favor. Order it with the ATI x1400 and the 1680 x 1050 glossy screen. Beautiful combination!!! You'll be glad you did

    E1505 - 2GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHZ, 2 DIMM
    E1405 - 2GB DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHZ, 2 DIMM

As you can see, the e1405 does not shared its memory compare to the e1505. I wanted to comfirm if the ram option for the e1405 is better or not.

Crazeman, how the quality? I seen video game online and recorded through tv tuner. Does the quality have the ghosting effect? If so, how bad? Thanks.

Alright, I decided to get the e1505 as this laptop seen more ideal for me. Thanks for everyone input. (Plus I just saw the battery sticking out of the e1405 :D)
