    I got the E1505 with the high-res glossy screen. The resolution is great; the color and clarity are too, provided that:

    - I adjust every light in the space I'm in so that there's absolutely no reflections on the screen;
    - I look straight-on at the center of the screen, without shifting an iota.

    Meeting these conditions is difficult enough at home or in an office; when outdoors, or on the road, it is impossible. Even the slightest amount of glare converts this screen from an excellent performer into an eyestrain-inducing, headache-provoking piece of junk.

    If a high-res matte Dell screen existed, I would switch in a second; as it is, I see a Thinkpad or Macbook Pro in my future. In the meantime, has anyone tried an antiglare screen overlay for the E1505, and found it to work?

    I'm going to be getting the anti glare cover soon as my E1405 has similar glare problems.

    I'm hearing alot of complaints about this Dell E1405; particularly about its screen. Sounds like a miserable machine. *cough*dells sucks*cough*

    Complaints about glare will happen with pretty much any glossy/reflective screen. It makes no sense to blame Dell for this particular issue.

    The light leakage is a whole other thing though.
