I recieved my e1505 about a week ago and I love it. However, I am worried about my screen. I went for the WSXGA+ (1680x1050) and there seems to be a lot of bleeding at the bottom of the screen (not too noticable until watching a movie letterboxing) and there seems to be "dark spots" about 2/3 of the way down on the left and right edge. They are areas about 2'' in diameter that seem a few shades darker than the rest. They apear and disappear depending on the viewing angle (which isn't that hot, it seems).
I'll try to upload some pictures this evening.
Just wondering if anyone other new owners are having similar results. If that is "just the screen" itself, then I am not going to worry about it, but if my results are out of the norm, then I'll call Dell.

If you aren't happy with it, call now before your 21 days are up. Get it replaced.

Well, I want to make sure that I don't have to go through the whole return process if I am going to get the same thing in the end.
Here are some images:
If you look in the picture above, you can see that even though the picture is almost straight on, the right-side, bottom-half is a few shades darker. It is a bit more pronounced in real life, and increasing the distance from my self to the screen doesn't help much.
another image. Can't see much except that the viewing angle is pretty poor on this model, which I wouldn't care about except for the above problem.
Added one more image, I think this shows the problem I was describing from the first picture pretty well.
Anyone else have something similar? -
Unfortunately it doesn't show up on screen very well. Sorry.

Oh well, I guess that free hosting service is pretty stingy on traffic.
Update: I contacted Dell through their chat, and I told the guy the problem and he told me almost immediately to get the screen replaced. So they are sending the shipping materials to me as we speak and I am going to send it back to get repaired. Anyone have good/bad experiences doing this with Dell?
It sounds like this problem is more common than I thought. Hopefully, the new screen will be more uniform in its brightness (and please, no dead pixels)

Neo Lefty,
Were you able to get new screen?
I have issue with my wsxga as well where there are a few imperfections in my screen just to the left of center. They are static, viewable at any angle and clearly noticable against lighter colored backgrounds.
I sent my laptop back once already for them to fix it and they said the problem was my video card (which they replaced) but that didnt do it. They sent it back to me claiming that they fixed the issue... NOT!!!!!
Let me know how you handled this,
Brian.
