I just ran 3DMark05 and it gave me 1940 as my score, it can't be correct. Does someone know what the problem might be?
Computer:
Clean Windows XP
2gb ram
Core 2 duo 2.2hgz
Ati X1400
100gb 7.200rpm
-
I got 1870 with just a clean install and omega drivers, and 1963 after the hotfix+registry/boot.ini mod.
Seems in line? -
Could it really be that low.. hmm, oh well.
-
Well, the X1400 is only a medium grade card. My X1600 is about twice as powerful and scores right about 4000, so your numbers sound right.
-
That is a normal score.
-
I play older games (BF1942 and GTR) and it plays them fine.
I do a little 3d using Cinema 4d and Studio Max and it does them fine, unless the model gets really really out of control.

I do think Dell needs to do a better job with their product line-up though.
The E1505 needs DVI, GigE and an X1600 option.
I almost got an E1705 just for the DVI and 7900GS but just did not want a 17".
E1505 is still the best value out there for what it is. -
Theres my score at stock on my gateway (t2300, x1400 256mb, 1gb pc4200 ram, 80gb 5400rpm). How come you guys score 400+ lower???
-
Cuz' you got MJ wallpaper. :shifty
I don't know if all X1400 are HyperMemory, is the Gateway?
128MB dedicated, 128MB shared. -
Yea its 128mb dedicated / 128mb shared (hypermemory)
wierd cause the dell has a better cpu/ram/harddrive as well. -
what are your guy's CPU scores?
-
My 3D mark score was 1952, and my CPU score was 5667. Is that good? How can I make it run better?
-
anyone care to share their results? I'm more interested in your scores for the CPU than the graphics. thanks
-
1409 cpu score. -
thats about 2800 in 3d mark 05 right?
