I've had my E1505/6400 for about a week now and it's fantastic. The only thing I don't like is the size. So, I'm thinking of returning it and getting the E1405/640m. I noticed that the 1405 is not just smaller than the 1505, it's also put together differently. (No vents on top of keyboard, layout of ports, battery, CD drive is different) So, does any of this stuff matter? Could the 1405 run noisier or hotter or have worse speakers? Anything I should be considering?

P.S. I'm sticking with integrated graphics.

P.P.S. Before you buy check out the Dell Small Business site - It saved me a couple hundred bucks.

From what I've heard my friends say about their 1405, it has a slightly worse keyboard, and the screen has huge light leakage on the bottom. Other than that, it is a good deal.

My e1405 doesn't run that warm (my HP/Compaq was a heater) and isn't noisy at all. In fact, I never hear it all -- not even the 7.2K drive.
