    Hi,

I got my E1505 with a really nice LCD, no light leakage, no ununified lighting, just a perfect WSXGA+, but how come when I view small images, the images always show up really blurry/jagged?

Anyone have the same experience too?

no, absolutely not, the images look fine and lovely on my sxga. i too got not light leakage or sparkling. its a clear natural bright lcd. what resolution you're on? if its the true 1680x1080 res, are you trying to zoom into the small images? because that is when images might look blurry. you cant view a small res image on a high res screen with ease, only with its original res.

Desktop Properties, Settings tab, Advanced, set the DPI to 96 and restart. This seems to be a common issue on Dells . .

Oh no wonder. Before posting this, I actually set the dpi to 90 from 120 thinking it'd be better, but I DIDN'T RESTART. This morning, while I checked for replies, I noticed that the ads/ icons were a lot better, which meant that all I had to do was restart.

    btw, humbert,
What is sparkling on the LCD?
and what do you mean by "15.4" WSXGA 1680 x 1050 Ultrabright Truelife with ALS (Ambient Light Sensor) ?"

sparkling was a symptom of the glass used on the lcd panel awhile ago. They no longer use that brand so its a non issue on new laptops.
