I just got my E1505 and I formated the hd and installed dell xp pro fresh on it, in doing so I removed all the partitions from the hd which includes restore, diagnotic util and media direct. How do I put the media direct and diagnostic util partitions back on for me to use again?

You can download the Diagnostics from Dell on their support site. As for Media Direct...you have to chat with or call tech support and request a Dell Media Direct CD. Instructions come with the CD, so you boot into it...and it will create and install the Media Direct partition. Then you install Windows XP and all the drivers...etc...then Media Direct will work
