My wife's e1505 is slowing down my new xps w/ the 4965agn wireless card. I have a belkin pre-n router which is a single band so it go does to the lowest speed which is my wife's G. I am thinking getting her a N card is cheaper than buying a new dual-band router so what is the best way to accomplish this? i looked on dells website but did not see any adaptors for the E1505

i believe that the E1505 has a mini pci port and no mini pci express port. so there are no mini pci wireless n cards. maybe that you can find an usb one or a pc card version. but i have been un able to find one for mini pci

I think any old internal wireless card will work in the E1505. You can try installing your 4965 in the E1505 and seeing if it works. If it does, you can just buy another 4965. If it doesn't, you'll have to look for another solution.

Call Dell Spare Parts 1-800-449-3355 ext 7269937
and ask for a Dell 1500 or a 1505 draft N mini pci card.
