I just received my Dell E1505 with an ATI x1400 and the WSXGA+ 15.4 monitor. I am having trouble getting it to display any resolution other than 800x600.

The monitor that is recognized by the system is Q@L FF058 LCD Monitor (seems odd). The Graphics Card is showing up as an ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 (M547145).

    Any help would be appreciated.

Get the latest video drivers because it sound like you are stuck with an OS stock VGA driver.

Resolved - I installed the ATI drivers then had to run this command

    sax2 -r -m 0=fglrx

This allowed the correct information to show up in the display configuration.
