Finally going to go from 1 GB to 2 GB of Memory in Inspiron 1505. I am currently looking at three brands:

    G-Skill
    Transcend Jet Ram
    PNY Ultima

    All are PC5300

What are your recommendations? I am leaning toward G-Skill. On Newegg...user ratings are extremely high and many Dell 1505 and 1705 owners seem pleased.

    Suggestions? Ideas?

    Thanks

    Bob

I'm not too sure about Transcend...not too familiar with that brand.

But G.Skill and PNY both make good products.

G-Skill seems to be the best from what I've heard but like night said, PNY is also a good brand.

Thanks for the input! I went with the G-Skill. 2 x 1GB. Newegg had em for $68 each with free shipping today (3/8)

G.skill is good, I've put it in many desktops, I think I've read that transcend is a brand that Dell used/uses fairly often, they change parts all the time based on price and availability.

I'm using a couple of 1 Gb 667 MHz OCZ SO-DIMMs with no problems.
