Well, I've had my notebook for about 11 months now, and have had no major problems except for one, everytime I try to burn a CD with ITunes, it says Burner or Software not found.
At first I thought it was a problem with ITunes, but after some research it apparently has to do with the C:\WINDOWS\System32\GEARSec.exe, which is nowhere to be found on my notebook.
Now how do I go about fixing this, because all the money I spent on ITunes is now wasted because, surprise surprise, my Ipod broke after 1.5 years of ownership (the 3rd time an IPoD I've owned has broken within 1.5 years), and Since I can't transport the music off of my computer it's useless.
Is there anyway to get this back, I have 32 bit Windows Vista Home Premium, but the problem is I tried downloading the Gear drivers from their website but it doesn't work.
I'm in a dire situation, please help me....![]()

Bump, someone has to know how to fix this... I'm sorry if I sound unappreciative, I'm just angry at Apple and their products right now.

well, how do you use your ipod? i've had mine for 2 years, a lot of my friends have had theirs for 3-4 years, and none have broken...

Hehe... I don't think he was looking for an Ipod lesson but rather a "How do I get my music burned" lesson.
You could just browse to your music folder and burn with alternative software. You may have to convert to MP3 or something but there are plenty of free tools out there that can do that for you. -
First of all, give people more than a couple hours to reply to your post. There's a lot of people who may not even be awake for their day yet, or already at work and not checking the forums.
Where did you find the info telling you the problem was the file you mentioned? A quick Google search brought me here http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1436 which may or may not help you, but if you're having problems with an Apple product, why are you not contacting them for support?
