Has anyone gotten their SD card reader to work? When I insert my SD card I receive the "ding dong" sound that the card is recognized and it shows up in the system tray "remove device" icon, however it doesn't come up as a drive letter so there's no way to get to the data. I believe my camera formats the card as FAT so there's no reason why the machine shouldn't be able to read it. I found this knowledge base article that suggests that some cards simply don't work. Maybe I have one of these cards but the whole thing seems fishy. Anyone have any luck?

    Thanks...

Have you installed the latest driver? Just a thought.

I'm pretty sure I have the latest drivers installed. Like I said, the card seems to be recognized. I'm wondering if anyone else has inserted an SD card into the drive on their E1505. If so, what happens? Does it appear as a driver letter? I'm not sure what I should expect to see happen and I don't have another SD card to test with. I'll try to track one down but for now I'm hoping someone has used this drive and can tell me what to expect.

    Thanks...

you should see it as a drive (as you mentioned). is it an SD card and not an MMC card? they're the "same", but the dell's SD card reader won't read MMC cards (at least on the 6000; if the 1505 can read MMC, then ignore this post)

Your not going to see it as a drive up by like your 'C:\" drive, it lists it down below this in Windows as removeable media. If you install your camera software and plug your camera in via the USB port, does it show up as removeable media (with a drive letter but down below) then?

Mine works perfectly, and it's fast. Should show up as E:\something, can't remember- going to check later.
