I have a new E1505 XGA screen with the glossy TrueLife. I've had the computer a little over 2 weeks. I now notice a solid "fade out" light blue line at the bottom on the blue, windows menu bar AND at the top of every blue, menu bar on an internet web page or any program that has the blue menu bar at the top of the screen. Is this normal? Is there some sort of setting I need to adjust other than the fn key with the up and down arrows? I'm nearing the end of my 21 day return period so i need to make a decision here.

Otherwise, I LOVE this notebook - I haven't run across any problems yet, other than my Verizon Type II card does NOT work on this notebook. NOt sure I want to return for "downward" technology and I think that in a few months, adapters will be sufficiently stocked at reasonable prices and/or Verizon will come up with an adapter.

I do find this light, faded blue line on the top and bottom menu bars to be troublesome. Thoughts anyone?

can you post some pics ?

EDIT: actually, regardless of how it looks, if you're unhappy with it, i would get an exchange. you're the customer and you should be satisfied with your purchase.

I'm with Drumfu. I can't really tell what is going on by what you described, so pictures might be helpful. From what you have described, I've never seen that on a laptop or a complaint on here, so I might just be understanding it wrong.

As drumfu stated, if you are unhappy, then return it. Obviously, it sounds like something is wrong with the laptop, so dell shouldn't charge you any restocking fees.

Thats the Media Center theme that looks like that, change it to XP and the bars will be blue, that had me wondering as well.
