    Hello all-
I have had my E1505 for a little more than a year (no more warranty,*tear*) and of course I have a problem. I shut down my laptop correctly but then the next time I tried to turn it on, it would not power up at all (no blinking lights or anything.) However, when I took the battery out and put it back in, it did power on but it went straight to Dell Media Direct (and no, I did not hit the wrong button!) I have to do some multi-tasking in order to get Windows XP to load. I must snap the battery in, and then press the magic buttons, "ctrl + alt + delete." This is only way it will power on. Although, it will work fine without the battery and in that case I must plug the adapter in while I simultaneously press the magic buttons.

If anyone knows the answer(s) to my problem(s), please share, it will be greatly appreciated...Thank You.
