I know there has been lots of questions about this. But here is another one.

Here are the chipset specs for both the e1505 and the e1505d
    http://indigo.intel.com/compare_cpu/showchart.aspx?mmID=22210,145&familyID=7&culture=en-US

Now you will see the CPUs are 667 fsb and its says you can use 667 or 533 mem in the mb. BUt look at teh section that says
#SO-DIMMs/Max Memory it says there this "2 SO-DIMMs / up to 4GB Max System Memory @ 533 MHz"

So my question is If I buy 2 gb 667 ram what speed will it run at 533 or 667.

Did I read the chart wrong is INtel whacked?
And why does Dell sell the notebook with 533 mem when it could use 667 ( the 1705 they give the option)?

    Thanks for the quick response

It could be that the Max memory section is talking about the maximum amount of memory is 4gb at 533. That would mean that you couldn't use 4gb at 667, but you could use 2gb at 667. That's just my take on it.

I'm not really sure why they don't offer it on the E1505 unless they are doing it because the E1505 is more of mid range laptop, and wouldn't need 667.
