So I reinstalled Vista 5308 today, just because my last attempt was riddled with problems. This time I was able to get nearly all of the hardware detected and working (after running Windows Update). The display is working normally this time (although I can't get the Aero features working). I also now have support for the Intel 3495 Pro Wireless card-but had to shut off WPA in order to get it to work.

    Problems:

Audio- It detects the Intel HD Audio controller, but I get no sound out of the system? If I go into Control Panel, Hardware and Sound, Audio Devices and Sound Themes, Choose the HD Audio Device, and go to configuration, I can test the sound, and the speakers work. But trying to play any of the normal Windows system sounds does not work, as well as trying to play a CD or MP3. Not sure what the deal is there.

Windows Movie Maker- I can't even launch it, it says the video card doesn't meet the hardware acceleration requirments? Go figure. Maybe it's because the new Movie Maker will support HDV editing.

    Im including some screenshots:

Vista Beta is only available to those with a MSDN subscription or a TechNet subscription. A public Beta will probably be released sometime in the late summer or fall. The finished consumer product won't be ready for market until January 2007.

    Diffenately!!!

When I configured my E1505, it showed two screen, 1 & 2. You click each icon to set the resolution and color depth. I think the max resolution is 1900 x 1400 or there abouts.
