A review of the E1505 loaded with vista recently appeared on CNET.
The benchmarks dropped and so did CNET's rating.
I was an early adopter of Dual core through the initial release of the E1505.
At the time it had the best in class benchmarks and with the configuration i got (same as cnet's configuration) i expected to run vista just fine. What a shame it can't stay on top.

give it time when the drivers mature it will again regain it's rightful place at this time everything is just barely out of beta and most drivers need a lot of work

Stay on top ......compared to what? Other laptops running .....XP?
From the review....
We expect to encounter similar lags on most of the first-generation Vista systems, though, and because we still like the Inspiron E1505's design and feature set, we think it remains a solid choice for home users who want a basic media-friendly laptop. -
There is nothing wrong with E1505. As the review itself suggested, Vista is dragging it down. If they benched all other notebooks with Vista then Im sure E1505 will be on top, like it did under XP
Like jim6172 said, give the drivers some time to mature. 2GB ram will also help
E1505 bechmarks drop with Vista?!
